چکیده

Shifting cultivation (jhum cultivation), a common practice of converting forest land into agricultural by slash and burn is threatening the ecosystem. This study assesses effect shifting cycles on soil quality in North-eastern Himalayan region using minimum properties. To achieve this goal, index (SQI) approach multivariate techniques were used for surface (0-30 cm) subsurface (30-70 layers soils forest, jhum land, fallow areas. The highest variability among uses was found clay content, SOC (soil organic carbon), exchangeable Mg K, CEC (cation exchange capacity), Ca/Mg relationship. On contrary, lowest variation recorded bulk density (BD), porosity, pH. results principal component analysis (PCA) show BD, texture, available nitrogen (Nav), phosphorus (Pav), potassium (Kav), calcium (Ca) sodium (Na) as major indicators quality. indicated that have lower when compared to lands. Although lands better forests, their continued without any fertilisation subsequent depletion nutrients can cause degradation observed use these selected assessment useful terms saving time costs.

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

having conducted the experiment and analysed the data, the researcher computed the groups mean scores and variances for the test relating to the research question. as the final atep, a t-test was conodonted for the hypothesis. as noted earlier, the significance level was determined at .05 and .01 respectively. the observed t-value was higher than the critical t-value at. 5 and .01 levels. conse...
